The eating scene in Legian is a vibrant and ever-changing one and arguably offers simply as much variety as Kuta. There’s plenty of choice in each price range, but you will be hard pushed to find the very bottom end expenses that Kuta dining is famous for. Most locations provide a broad menu of Western favorites, traditional Indonesian dishes and perhaps some Thai, Mexican and Chinese language options.

Many Legian restaurants have live bands or Balinese dances within the evening. There is a big Australian contingent in Legian, each visiting families and expat eating place proprietors and many locations cater for this with Aussie fashion BBQ nights. Elegant dining galore may be located in Legian Village even as along the seafront at Blue Ocean beach there are several modern-day lounges which are constantly packed out in the early night.

1. Wali Warung

This comfortable Legian eating place has a nice family-friendly environment and serves up home-cooked Indonesian and Western classics. The Balinese-Swedish owners are eager to make every visitor feel welcome and the meals are delicious as well.

2. Drops

3. Gosha Bar and Restaurant

Not the most engaging area on first look but this massive hangar-like restaurant is packed rightly with its sumptuous seafood barbecues which magnetize holidaymakers from all around the island.

Tuck into grilled marlin steaks, calamari and chili crabs amongst an extensive variety of fishy delights. The atmosphere is full of hustle and bustle and there is usually a long wait for a table in high season.

4. Poser’s Pub and Restaurant

An English style gastro-pub experience with hearty steak pies, gourmet sandwiches and even sauerkraut and schnitzel. It is a fairly lively hangout place too, with a nicely stocked bar and chatty bar staff. Great value dining in a casual atmosphere.

5. Zanzibar

An extended established designer bar and beachfront lounge with a loyal following among trendy locals and expats. Awesome pasta chilled out DJ sounds and funky ocean breezes are the best cocktail for a memorable night out. The best place for a spot of nonchalant people eating under a starry sky.
